Can't find her headstone listed in the Polk County Cemeteries book (Taft) in Greens Creek
1910, 1880, 1870 censuses, can't find Charles or CC in NC (basic ancestry search)
1900 census indicates she had 11 children, 8 still living in 1900:

• Charles W. (b. 1869 in NC)
• Loron (son) in household 1900 (b. Dec 1881 in NC)

Research Questions For the Future

Just got back from a whirlwind trip to North and South Carolina with a flash drive full of deed records and a head full of other questions. I'm going to throw out the questions here as I remember them so I can investigate them later as I have time:

• Wiley Walker listed as the father on Carinda Caroline Wilson's death certificate (born August 28, 1841). Who is this person?
• Rhoda Ethel Neal attended Six Mile Baptist Academy in Pickens, NC, as a young girl. Her uncle, William Walker, was an administrator or headmaster there at some time. Were they concurrent? 
• Why did Rhoda Emmaline and family stop in Alabama before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida? How long were they there? Apparently JB Neal owned a furniture store there. Hmmm.
• Linda mentioned that Clarence and Emma Lee's eldest daughter, Grace Allene, left the family at a young age and moved to Los Angeles. Linda says she may have found her death certificate in New York (Grace A. Fisher), but hasn't ordered a copy yet. 
• Tony claims he has Thomas Melvin's sword from the Civil War. Thomas Melvin stayed home from the war and had lots of babies. He never enlisted. Tony says it's an honorary sword that local militia men were given if they opted to protect home instead of the front lines. Verify this, if possible. 
• Green Creek and Polk County are SO close to the South Carolina border that I should include that county in my general search...

Perhaps this blog will be a neat and portable way for me to summarize what I've found on each family member so far. It's certainly a nice format for writing research summaries.
